Import contacts from CSV
Bring a list into Boxli with automatic header mapping and a preview before anything writes.
The fastest way to load a list into Boxli is a CSV import. Nothing is written until you confirm the preview, so it is safe to try with any file.
Open the importer
Go to Contacts and click Import CSV. Drop in your file or pick it from disk.
Let Boxli map the headers
Column headers are normalized automatically — "E-mail", "email_address", and "Work Email" all land on the email field, and the same goes for names, companies, and address parts. You do not need to rename columns to match a template.
Review the preview
Before anything writes, the importer shows every row split into valid and invalid. Invalid rows list what is wrong (a malformed email, a missing required field) so you can fix the file and re-upload, or import the valid rows and handle the stragglers later.
Confirm the import
Only when you confirm do the valid rows become contacts. Nothing partial happens behind your back.
Let addresses validate
After the import, every imported address is validated automatically against USPS data. Check the Contacts page afterward for any marked Needs correction or Undeliverable — those need attention before they can receive a box.
Contacts with a company email are automatically linked to a company record by domain, so account rollups work without any extra setup.
