The real comparison

One line item replaces five.

Running a gifting program in-house means standing up a tiny fulfillment operation — and paying for it every month before a single box ships. boxli folds all of it into one number.

Build it in-house

What you’d be paying for, separately

  • Warehouse space + shelving for your inventory
  • Pick, pack & ship labor on every single send
  • A gifting / automation software subscription
  • An ops person to run and reconcile it all
  • Engagement tracking you wire up yourself
  • Carrier accounts and shipping rates to manage
Several vendors. Several invoices. All on your plate.
Run it on boxli

  • Each box designed and quoted with you
  • Shipping billed at cost — no markup
  • Engagement signal pipeline + CRM sync, included
  • Delivery + opens tracked in real time
  • Cancel anytime — the inventory stays yours
One number. One partner. Live in ~2 weeks.
Built for zero ops

Full visibility, none of the work.

Every box reports back over its own cellular connection — so you get total visibility into what happens after it ships, while we carry the whole operation.

See every box land.

Every box phones home in real time, tied to a named contact — so you always know where it is, when it lands, and exactly how much attention it earns.

No warehouse, no dock.

We hold the inventory and handle every pick, pack, and ship from our warehouse. Your team never touches a label, a box, or a loading dock.

No lock-in.

A flat monthly fee — no tiers, no per-seat math. Cancel anytime and the boxes you’ve already paid for stay yours; we can prepackage and ship the rest to you.

What's in every box

The per-box price is the box itself.

Separate from the monthly fee, each box carries a one-time price we scope together on the design call — it comes down to what goes in it. Here's what that price covers.

  • Co-design call with our team
  • Box manufacturing run (MOQ 30 per design)
  • IoT-connected video brochure (cellular + GPS)
  • Cellular SIM lifetime included in the box
  • Custom-printed packaging per design
  • The gift and inserts in the design
How it works

Design with us. Trigger from the app.

From the first call to the engagement signal landing in your CRM — the whole loop, run for you. Five steps, then you're live.

01
Discovery + co-design
A 30-minute call to scope the use case (cold ABM, post-demo, win-back, expansion). We sketch the box together — gift, packaging, brochure spec, default landing page. You leave the call with a quote.
02
We manufacture the run
You commit to a 30-box MOQ per design. We place the order, pre-load the IoT video brochures, and assemble the run. ~2 weeks for a first run; 5–7 days on re-orders of an existing design.
03
We warehouse the inventory
Boxes ship to our warehouse. The app shows your inventory live — credits remaining per design, each with its own name and tags. No fulfillment work falls on your team.
04
You trigger sends from the app
Manual or automated triggers from HubSpot, Salesforce, or any webhook. Each send is personalized in a few quick steps (more below), then we pull from the right design’s inventory and ship the same day.
05
We track everything
Shipping alerts, every box-open, per-watch video time, location, QR and NFC scans, and landing-page view time — all tied to the contact and streamed into your CRM in real time. Combined watch time rolls up into Total Attention. You see it all in the engagement dashboard.
Inside every send

Five steps. About a minute.

Every send is personalized in the app — the video, the tracked landing pages, and the handwritten note all change per recipient, without ever touching the box design.

Step 1

Pick the contact

Choose who the box is going to — manually, or let an automated trigger from HubSpot, Salesforce, or a webhook pick them for you.

Step 2

Choose the design & build the video

Running more than one box design? Pick which one. Then open the built-in video editor to upload or record clips, reorder them, and assemble up to 20 minutes of video that plays right in the box.

Step 3

Set the landing pages

Drop in the destination for the NFC/QR tap and the booking link. Use a unique URL per send and every scan, tap, and visit is tracked back to that exact recipient.

Step 4

Write the handwritten note

Add a personalized message — penned by hand on the card that goes inside the box.

Step 5

Confirm & send

Review everything and hit send. We pick, pack, and ship the box the same day from our warehouse.

Engagement analytics

Every signal, per box and per person.

Each box reports back over its own cellular connection — every event tied to a named recipient at a named account, timestamped, located, and streamed into your CRM in real time.

The headline metric

Total Attention

Every second of video watch time on the brochure plus every second spent on the landing pages, added up into one number — per recipient and per account. The clearest read on how much of your prospect’s focus you actually earned.

Shipping alerts

Real-time delivery status from the carrier, from label to doorstep.

Box opens

Every lid-open logged — the first, and every repeat open after it.

Video watch time

Per-second watch time on the brochure, captured on every single watch.

When it’s watched

A timestamp on every open and every video play, not just the first.

Location

Real GPS location where the box is opened and the video is watched.

QR code scans

Every scan of the box’s QR code, tied to the named recipient.

NFC chip scans

Every NFC tap, tracked separately from QR so you can tell them apart.

Landing-page views

View time on each QR/NFC landing page, logged per view.

Multiple designs, one inventory

Run a premium design and a lighter one in parallel.

Most teams run two designs from day one — a higher-spec box for top ABM accounts and a lighter spec for post-demo and follow-up. Each is its own MOQ + inventory line + tag in the app, but the math is the same: 1 box = 1 credit from that design.

Example design A

"ABM top target"

Premium printed packaging, branded gift insert (e.g. custom journal + leather coaster), 10″ HD video brochure with custom-print sleeve, hand-written note, FedEx Priority. A premium build, scoped with you on the design call.

30 boxes in inventory, tagged abm-top-target in the app
Example design B

"Post-demo follow-up"

Lighter packaging, branded swag insert (e.g. t-shirt or desk item), 7″ HD video brochure, printed note card, FedEx Ground. A lighter build, scoped with you on the design call.

30 boxes in inventory, tagged post-demo in the app

FAQ

The questions we get on every call.

What does the $1,500/mo cover?
It's a flat platform fee — no tiers — covering the boxli app (manual and automated sends), live inventory across every design, the labor to pick, pack, and ship every send, per-send video and landing-page personalization, the engagement signal pipeline, and native HubSpot + Salesforce sync. Everything it takes to send and measure, in one number.
What does each box cost?
It depends entirely on the design — which is the whole point of the co-design call. A lighter spec costs less; premium builds (custom-printed brochure, higher-spec gift, premium packaging) more. We scope it together and quote you before you commit, so you see the exact number first. This per-box price is separate from — and on top of — the flat $1,500/mo platform fee.
What's the minimum order?
30 boxes per design, set by the manufacturing minimum on the IoT brochure run. You can run multiple designs in parallel — say a 30-box premium design for ABM top targets and a 30-box lighter design for post-demo follow-up — and they show up as separate inventory lines in the app.
Who pays for shipping?
You do, at cost. The carrier charge for each send is billed to the card on file at exactly what the carrier charges — no markup. The $1,500/mo platform fee covers the labor of picking, packing, and shipping; it doesn't cover the postage itself.
What can you see after a box ships?
Everything, per box and per person. Shipping alerts; every box-open (logged each time, not just the first); video watch time on the brochure second-by-second and per watch, with a timestamp on when it's watched; real GPS location; QR scans and NFC scans tracked separately; and landing-page view time logged per view. Combined watch time rolls up into Total Attention. It all streams into the engagement dashboard and into your CRM as contact properties and timeline events — so a rep knows the moment an account engages.
Manual or automated triggers?
Both work. A rep can manually pick a contact and fire a send from the app in under 30 seconds. Or you can wire a HubSpot workflow / Salesforce process / inbound webhook to trigger sends automatically — e.g. "deal stage moves to demo-completed → ship a post-demo box." Both routes pull from the same inventory.
What can I personalize on each send?
Three things change per recipient without re-designing the box. The video — built in the app's editor, where you upload or record clips, reorder them, and assemble up to 20 minutes that plays on the screen inside the box. The landing pages — a unique URL for the NFC/QR tap and for the booking link, so every scan and visit is tracked back to that recipient. And the handwritten note. Pick the box design too if you run more than one.
How long do reorders take?
5–7 days on a re-order of an existing design (the tooling and proof are already approved). First runs of a new design are about 2 weeks end-to-end including co-design, approval, and manufacturing.
Who shouldn't buy boxli?
If your ACV is under $25K or you're running a self-serve PLG motion with no SDR team, the math doesn't pencil — the per-box price won't recover from your funnel. We'll tell you on the demo and walk you back to email or LinkedIn — better to lose the sale than lose the relationship.
What if I just want the boxes — not the shipping?
Then we'll prepackage your full run and ship the whole batch to you in one shipment. You store them and send them yourself — no app, no monthly fee, just the per-box price (30-box MOQ per design). You give up the per-send video and landing-page personalization, live inventory, automated triggers, and the real-time engagement signal the warehouse + app model is built for — so most teams only go this route if they already handle fulfillment in-house. Tell us on the design call and we'll quote it that way.
