How your box gets designed and built
The four design steps, the dual approval, and how a box moves from design to production to in stock.
Every new box type starts life as a design project between you and the Boxli team. You can follow the whole build on your Boxes page — each box in the works shows its stage, its design checklist, and photos of every piece as we add them.
The three stages
- Design phase — we are shaping the box together: the shipping box, the video brochure, and the gift items inside.
- In production — the design is approved on both sides and the boxes are being made.
- In stock — finished boxes are in the warehouse and ready to send. When the count hits zero, the box shows as out of stock until a reorder lands.
The design checklist
Design the shipping box
The outer box itself — structure, print, and unboxing feel.
Design the video brochure
The screen inside the lid: layout, buttons, and how your video plays.
Pick the gift items
Every piece that goes in the box is added as an item with photos, so you can see exactly what recipients will hold.
Approve the final Boxli
The sign-off is mutual: once the first three steps are done, an owner or admin approves the final box from the Boxes page, and Boxli approves on our side. Production starts only after both.
Note
You get a notification (and a Slack post, if connected) each time a step completes or the box changes stage — no need to ask for status.
